This is what I found in one of my dog books:
Passing gas, called flatus, is caused by eting highly fermentable foods such as onions, beans, cauliflower, cabbage and soybeans; or drinking large quantities of milk. Diets high in meats predispose to it.
If diet change does not control the problem, you may want to suppress undesirable gas-forming bacteria by giving your dog a course of antibioics by mouth. The antibiotic is given for 5 days. Afterwards, the bowel should be repopulated with more desirable non-gas forming bacteria. Accomplish this by giving cultured buttermilk o0r yogurt for a week.
Some of that sounds a bit strange, but I got it from Dog Owner's Home Veterinary handbook.
Try changing his food, could even be his biscuits that is causing the problem. Puppies need high protein while they are growing.

I got this out of another book The Doctors Book of Home Remedies for Dogs and Cats:
Check your dogfood, some have 25% soybeans. Some dogs find this hard to digest. Changing to a food with less soy or no soy could make a big difference. To determine how much soy a product contains, look at the label. Ingredients positioned near the top of the list comprise the bulk of a product.
Overeating can overload the gut, so things end up fermenting that normally wouldn't.
Steer clear of supplements
Lay off the dairy
Check it wit charcoal. Activated charcoal is messy, but it can absord the smell effectively. For small pets, add 1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon to their food daily. For larger pets 1/2 teaspoon is about right. Do not use for more than a few days at a time.
CurTail is an anti-gas product contains an enzyme that helps break down foods so they can be digested more efficiently- and with less combustion.
Extend the dinner hour- to reduce air-swallowing put a fairly large object-a tennis ball, for example-into your pet's food bowl. He will be forced to eat slower. Make sure the object is large enough so that he doesn't swallow it.
You can also feed him off the floor. Raise his food bowl, put it in a stand or on a box.
Hope this helps

you dont want to give him any type of medicine made for humans of course. and i dont think they make anything for dogs.
it might be his food. i know whenever our puppy manages to get some of the older dogs "high protein" mix food, he gets terrible gas. and there is nothing worse than dog gas! lol
