At work place, if the works are properly delegated to your subordinates/assistants/colleagues, then whatever work you have to do, list it. Prioritise it. Keep doing one by one. There should not be any problem in facing the pressure of work.

Whtever you told is theortically good. But difficult in practical day to day work. Intially we can plan and prioritise and start our work. But in the final stages if any issues comes then we forget these all these stuff and we will take pressure on top of our mind.

Workplace pressure has been always a topic of discussion for many..theirs always a bit pressure on us whenever we are in office..peer and seer pressure, collegue, subortinate pressure's..taget and deadline pressure. It also depends on the job or work we are doing..Its always good to first do whatever work we are supposed to do before the deadline.keep healthy relations with collegues or subordinates..never get urself in a situation wherein you may get into trouble..ofcourse u must keep cheering and stay cool ..thats how u can conquer ur workplace..

ask your management to keep some kinda stress relieving activities on the floor so that no one gets too much stressed and bored. besides it gives a boost to work and makes work enjoyable.

Well it depends on how they ask it, for example, pressure could mean deadlines or issues between co-workers, and how you can handle those types of things. I am sure that deadlines are the biggest pressure in the workplace and all you can do is be honest, if yuo are good with handling pressure and meeting your deadlines then there should be no problem

In my opinion, developing patience is the only way to ease pressure at workplace. I work in a service oriented
business, where customer is always right.
So, develop the ability to ignore the
stupidity of co-workers as well as
customers is the only way to reduce
pressure at the work place.

Take a walk outside and look as far into the distance as you possibly can. Stretch your mind to think beyond the immediate pressures and you will come back refreshed with more creativity to contribute to your work.
And the best solution is. . .

For me, what works best is looking forwards to the end of the day and hold it together till then. I'm currently under pressure due to the holiday season in the packing dept. it get's really hectic. Our bosses are on us to get the stuff out on time and the mechandise is very heavey..i.e. toys and playsets. If something goes wrong in our station, tape machine messes up, box gets stuff in one of the bin, stapler doesn't work, etc. it can really slow us down. We work on production and we can get dropped down in pay if we can't get out for breaks and lunch on time. It's a back-breaking job but the pay and overtime is great. So I'm really looking forwards to good pay checks this time of the season...:)
HOLD IT TOGETHER! TOMMORROW IS ANOTHER DAY! EVERYBODY HAS A BAD DAY! TAKE A DEEP BREATH!

my way to deal with it is keep a cool mind and be quiet...dont tend to be too vocal coz empty vessels make more noise, just analyze, see if u can solve the prob and then try to think of a solution and dont be hard on urself

Aahh! Pressure = Stress in the workplace. That is not always an easy question. One question is, what type of pressre are we talking about? In my office (I work for a pharmecutical manufacturing company) we have EXTREMELY difficult employees who are never held accountable for their disruptive behavor, and we have the stress of excessessive product amnufacturing rework because NO ONE is held accountable for their job performance. So, as you can see the stress is HIGH.
Leadership and management trainging are ESSENTIAL in dealing with pressure and stress in the workplace. Most often the so-called "leaders" are simply "managers". An excellent resource for this issue and more is The Glenn Shepard Newsletter. Betty-

Work pressure problems can only be tackled effectively if employers and employees
work together. This means that the employee representatives, the works council, the
company’s occupational health, safety, welfare & environment committee, or the
employees themselves (if the company does not have a works council or employee
representative) should be involved in developing a work-stress reduction policy.

Always be positive. Never carry worries. Systemize/Prioritise your work. Make work schedule. Take one job at a time and finish it. Once in a while take a break and relax. Keep joking or atleast take part in jokes being played around in the office without loosing concentration on work. Once in a while close your eyes and relax.

see wherever u work there is pressure that will come as a parcel along with ur appointment letter. u shouldn't react on anybody's response or reactions that is not affecting u. someone had said me once "BOSS IS ALWAYS RIGHT". u shouldn't argue with ur boss and try to be neutral in serious situation.

there are lots of personal likes and dislikes, agrees and disagrees we everyday in every steps in our day-to-day life face and successfully deal these in the home, society and other places. Workplace is nothing exception and as we've develop our natural skill to deal with such pressure since our birth with our experiences and common sense we can easily deal in the workplace too. The fear is not about the workplace it's a fear of unseen uncertainty. If we are self-confident and have a good intention to work for the good of all in our workplaces as a team player no pressure can challenge us.

When you're stressed, try to calm down by takin a deep breath and drink a glass of water. Dont let your anger makes you can't think clearly. Try to talk to others diplomatically then tell them your points right after.
