Second day in myLot!!Tags problems!!

Hi, Augustta! Sometimes I tag and sometimes I don't. It's not necessary that you do, according to my experience here. You won't get penalized if you skip it. The tagging is just for myLot to be able to classify the discussions accordingly. It's just like you're helping them. The problem with tagging is that some members would tag them under the wrong classification, so I don't think that's helping. Hehe. Thus, there's no need to tag and you don't have to worry a bit about it. No effect on your reputation and on your earnings. Happy myLotting!

i had this problem too at the beginning, i even didnt login so much. it needed some time to get me addicted here, because before i started, i did read through alot of discussions. silly me, so im late with my posts but well, that doesnt matter i made some good friends here. i usually tag every discussion here, but sometimes the tags are here and i would tag it the same way, so i leave to it then. but im so used to it, that i do them automatic now. i hope that helps augusta

well i hope that i am right as far as i know that tagging each and every discussion is really difficult but as far as i am told by advanced mylotters that tagging discussion will make me earn more and my reputation will also increase i am still following their rule or advice and hoping that it will help me somehow.

Tagging a discussion is not compulsory, but I make it a point to tag every discussion. For instance I will tag this response as tag, mylot, problem. But even I don't know why I am doing it. I use just any three words that I think is relevant to the response.

I tag most of my posts sometimes I will skip a few here and there. its just that everyone I think puts the same tag because we all think of the same words. welcome to mylot and happy posting.

hi, I do try to tag discussion as honestly as possible, some times I skip tags, when I don't have any thing to tag. But in my earlier stages in my lot I have seen a discussion that by tagging properly for the responses & discussion you will be paid better my mylot, because tagging helps them to arrange their discussion in order. Isn't it believable, they pay more to the people who helps them reduce their headaches of arranging these discussions

you shoul not feel like these. you cantag your post and response base on what you are discussing,just use a key word to your post.

Normally I tag all discussions that I start.Far as when I respond to discussions sometimes I will tag only if there isn't a tags already there.Usually its the same tag that I was going to tag it with so I dont even bother.For starting my discussions that is a definitely YES!

No Sweet it will not as long as you do tag some of them I actually just tag with my username as that is the easiest way for me to do it But no you will not suffer on your Earnings as far as I know neither your Reputation Hugs to you

Why is it so hard to put more tags on every response? You can skip that option if you'd like, but I don't see why it takes so much out of you. Tags are just words used to help people get better results when searching for a topic that they like. They may also link together other discussions relative to that topic. Now, I don't think it's bad if you don't tag every response nor have your reputation suffer. I sure don't tag every response.

Thanks for the rose. All you need to do is pic one word out of your comment or discussion to use to tag. Like for me i might pick out comment. As long as it was in my comments I could use it as a tag word. Don't use something like "the" or "a" make sure it is relevant to the topic. Have great day and welcome to Mylot.

well i tag both, i tag the ones i comment on like this one. it is boring and a little time consuming but if i add a new tag then maybe five new people who would not have seen your post see it, and you get a better number of responses. that is my logic.

Tagging allows for a way to categorize and search discussions and messages in myLot for easy navigation. You will learn the importance of it as you go through mylot. I tell you it helps when you tag your discussions. Happy mylotting.

Oh .. finally I have got one more person who is also having the same problem like mine of tagging.. I really hate this tagging procedure. I really don't understand what is this use of tagging discussions .. all the time ?? It's absolutely wastage of time. This tag kind of thingie should be removed from my lot. It's totally annoying.

no problem.....its not necessary but if you start a discussion its good if you add some tags for easy findings.

As far as i know, i dont tag any discussion at all! Well, and i've never seen any differences in my earnings. I doubt that tags are anything that are necessary, i mean, it's just something that is optional, and even if you dont, the person who started the discussion does tag it! So, personally, i rarely tag discussions!

well i know it's tough 2 tag the discussion everytime but u can skip it....it's nothing like u have 2 tag the discussion everytime u post a response

I always tags my posts. Honestly, I don't really understood the use of it other than to grouped the postings and to show at the end of the posting that there are probably other people do the same/similar posting. But other than that reason, I don't have a clue. Tagging a post doesn't take time, just type any words (key words) related to your posts and off you go...

I also have the same thought. Especially when the connection is slow. Need to do tagging after every post really takes time.

I tag all of my discussions. It makes it easier for others to reach your discussions and post replies to them. Have fun!
