How do new members of MyLot can be educated about MyLot?

As a new member of MyLot I am finding a great need of someone senior / experienced MyLoter giving me some basic hints / guidance.
I have so far seen that there are many senior MyLoters doing pretty well. It will be highly appreciable if they share their experiences & bytes of wisdom about MyLot with the freshers like me.
Your suggestions / recommendations on WHAT TO DO & WHAT NOT TO DO are welcome.

Well, you took a good step in asking on the boards. You'll find that there are always some people willing to help you out if you ask.
First of all, just answer discussions that you see that are interesting... by filling out your interests page you can have discussions about your interests on the sidebar easy for you to locate and answer. You can also get a good group of friends who ask good questions, start good discussions, and answer your discussions. This all adds to the activity.
As far as acceptable and not, those apre pretty simple. Just be respectful to everyone else around you, and please... don't post referral links more than once or twice. It's against myLot regulations, but people do it all the time. I would just prefer not seeing them every five minutes, personally.
Other than that, you should be good to go. Just answer away!

meanwhile I have gone thru the guidelines & FAQs listed by MyLot by selecting the bottom menu bar on the home page of MyLot.
It is interesting.
