Have you ever read a book or seen a program on the tv. or even a movie that you just can't get out of your mind? Any that leave you feeling weak or breathless? I read a book once several years ago that has stayed with me ever since and I have never been able to find the book again. Recently I was watching an anime of a Japanese Drama and I was left with the same feeling and I am sure that it will be with me for a very long time. Have you ever been greatly affected by something that you read or saw?

My first thought as I was reading your post was "The Blair Witch Project". I used to watch horror movies with my friends at sleepovers and they never scared me so I thought that movie would be "fun" to watch too. I couldn't have been more wrong. I didn't sleep well for a week afterwards and kept having nightmares about the movie. I'd also get real nervous anytime I was outside after dark. It took a long time for me to get over it. Actually that was 6 years ago and obviously it affected me enough to think of it first now. As for the things that have given me that feeling in a positive way or at least not in a terrified way I can think of a few. The movie "The Notebook" is one that leaves me crying everytime, "Forrest Gump" does also but not in the same way. I read the book "The Five People You Meet in Heaven", it definitely changed how I think about things. I'll call this a side note just because I'm not sure it quite goes with what you were asking...the church I used to go to decided to do the "Purpose Driven Life" series. It changed a lot of people but not necessarily in a good way. Since doing that, the church has basically fallen apart because of too many people seeking out THEIR purpose and disregarding the needs of the whole church. Honestly, I'm one of them in a way. I realized the direction things were headed and got out early because I didn't want to let church politics affect my faith.

LOL! That's too funny! I tend to get nervous when I'm out alone at night too, but that may be because I have been attacked before! There are some movies that I dearly love and I ALWAYS cry at the end of Independence Day, but this show I was watching, literally made my heart pound and left me feeling breathelss and haunted and I can't figure out why! It isn't even that goo a show!! But I can't get it out of my mind and I can't shake the feeling. It will probably come to me someday when I least expect it to that there must have been a lesson in there that I needed to learn. Don't know. Thanks for the response, and I'm sorry to remind you of the Blaire Witch!!

Yes, I am being greatly affected by what I am reading - the Holy Bible, and I hope that you include these in your reading. I am a Christian, a child of God, baptized into Christ on October 1, 1989 and I belong to the Church of Christ founded and headed by Christ as shown in Acts Chapter 2. I am given the gift of knowledge and understanding Bible Greek and I translate the Word of God from Greek to English PLAINLY - Greek word into its English equivalent with additional words for grammar purposes written in italics so that readers may delete them when they so desire. I have already published GENESIS, EXODUS, LEVITICUS (Greek-English), THE WILL New Testament (Greek to English), ELEMENTS of SALVATION, The Right Way, GOD, ORIGIN, TRANSFER into PERFECTION, GREEK-ENGLISH (Grammar & Vocabulary), WORDS in THE WILL New Testament, and others shown at http://www.lulu.com/arseniajoaquin I have seen the versions being circulated worldwide and they are generally admitted to be 80% NOT translations. My translations are 99.99% translations and I see the truth, beauty, and sweetness of the Word of God. I hope these books could also help people understand the Word of God and be saved. May God bless you. SEN
