Sometimes i feel bad because i can't become what my parents want me to become, but instead i have become someone different. I don't like it when i disappoint my parents, but sometimes their expectations are really high. But then again, they have worked hard to get me here the first place...and it would make me feel guilty of not making them proud.

I would prefer to make my life happy first then all the rest with my family.I think we cannot do things in our own way when in the first place we are not happy doing it.Thus we should make sure that our life is in our control and everything in the right place so that we can give in return to our parents what they wanted from us.Generally parents always want their children to be happy that's why seeing them in a situation we're their children are happy then they are already 100% sure happy.

Making yourself happy. You can't live for someone else, you have to live for yourself. If you were always trying to make everyone else happy, you would never be happy. And just because you try to make other people happy, it doesn't mean you will! You may STILL not reach their expectations. So then all of your hard work to make them happy wouldn't have paid off.
Make yourself happy instead of your parents, otherwise you'll regret it later on. Also, keep in mind that they want you to be happy too. They want the best for you and that's why their expectations are so high. Eventually, they'll see that you're doing okay on your own. You may disappoint them once in awhile, but who doesn't disappoint someone at least once? Don't feel guilty about being happy. You deserve it.
