I guess the official NBA height of the rim is 10 feet. The shortest guys I knew who dunked the basketball were Spud Webb and Mugsy Bogues. They are 5'6" and the latter is 5'5".

officially, the standard height of a basketball hoop is 10 feet from the ground. with regards to the height, there's no height requirement to dunk. what you should do is develop and improve your vertical leap so you could jump high enough to slam the ball.

height wont really matter at all, its in the vertical leap. we've. spud webb is just around 5'5 or 5'6 yet he was once an nba slam dunk champion. nate robinson too is nowhere near the 6 foot ceiling yet he was also named as nba slam dunk champion. to be able to dunk, you should improve your vertical leap, not you height

As the other member mentioned, the standard height is 10 feet up. There is no minimum height required to dunk the ball. I have seen players that were in the 5 foot range that were able to jump that high and dunk the ball, like Spudd Webb back in the days. If you can jump that high and dunk, that is all that is needed to dunk. Some people have good jumping ability and some people do not.
