Is beauty related to power?

i think it is an unspoken advantage that if you're physically perfect, you get more benefits in life. However, some take the advantage to the uttmost level, not bothering to raise an arm or even a finger to get a job finished. I applaud all those beautiful men and women who still exert normal effort to become successful in life despite the plus points they get from others. As for "dumb blondes" ... all i can really say is.. shame on you.. :P

some think that beauty is power coz theyre taking advantage of it to manipulate people to get rich or whatever..but for me beauty is not power it is only an added bonus to your personality..and if use wisely it will be then your greatest asset..

If you are referring to physical beauty,then it isn't always true.A person follows the beauty because they are attracted,but attraction isn't a continuity.It is a phase and the power of that beauty will last only till the attraction lasts,which is invariably a very short span of time. There are several forms of power.It could be power due to fear or power due to respect.Lasting and real power comes from great leadership.It's through being a good leader that you can win respect and when you are respected,you are powerful even if you aren't physically beautiful.Some of the most powerful men in history never cared about their beauty because they knew if power comes from beauty then it will have a short life.

I don't think so. Confidence can give you power, as can being motivated, having skills, having good self-esteem. But beauty? If it's the inner beauty of good character, yes. But the external beauty - that may give you INFLUENCE with certain types of people, but not power. Most 'beautiful people' I know are not powerful; they rely on other people regarding them as beautiful, and also are slaves to staying beautiful. They give their personal power away.

I guess in some ways. First of all, a person gains confidence if he/she believes that he/she looks good. And one of of believing that he/she looks good is seeing herself in the mirror well- groomed, with her desire body shape, etsetera. If a person gains confidence, her self- esteem will boost up. And with that, a person can show off to everyone what he want to portray.

it really depends on the definition of power. In some ways, it may give a woman power in that people may look at her or treat her a little differently if they find her beautiful. Does beauty mean you will shoot to the top in life though? No, not necessarily. Most beautiful women live ordinary lives, have ordinary jobs, and ordinary families. Some might try to use their looks to manilpule others, and it may work, but that's not real power.

The life itself is beatiful. Every thing in this universe is beautiful. Some say having a body with fair coloursis beautiful. It is always not true. One should have purity of mind and act only with an aim to do good to the society. Will power is the essential base for anything!

Not really... many powerful person are not pretty or handsome at all. Beauty may make easier to approach something, in the end the qualities will prove the result. I don't even know why beauty related to power? I think beauty related to temptation mostly than power -lol-

It is correct up to some extents. when ur beautiful u will be attractive and attraction it self is a power, a centripietal force. while an ugly person have no power of attraction. An ugly person or an ugly thing repels others. But here we will explain that beauty is not physical value of someone's face or body. A beautiful brain or beautiful heart has also valueable personality. If one is not beautiful by his face or physical body but he thinks, or talk beautifully then he should thank to God that he has been gifted a power of his talking or thinking beauty. Many philospher in the history had no physical beauty but their precious and valued thought were full of power of beauty and they are still living and are everlasting.

i dont think one can be powerful by just being superficially beautiful. One has to possess a personality strong enough to handle the advantage of being beautiful in order to be powerful. beauty is indeed an advantage but its does not necessarily put someone above the rest.

No, definitely not. I know some people who are physically beautiful but they've got no brains at all, so senseless that you'd rather play with a dog rather than talking to them, some are backstabbers, some are airheads. A beautiful and powerful person knows how to reach out to others and can give happiness to everyone even in very simple ways, someone who is always there to give you warmth when you feel cold, and would never ever ditch you.
