Why do people kill each other in the name of god?

Almost every religion says that there is only one god and that is the one they are worshipping. They say that the whole universe is made by the god. They kill other in the name of crusade or jihad even though they believe God created everything, including animals, plants and the men and he is the only parent.
There is common belief in every religion that there were only one couple of man and woman at first and they breeded to produce many men and woman. which means that they are brother and sister. They are the creation of same god. they are the childred of same god.
The question that always circles in my mind is that why they destroy the creation of the single god. They say that they are killing the people of other religion in the name of cruseade or jihad. Don't they think the people in other religion are created by the god they worship? then their god is not as mighty as they say or think. if they think the whole universe is created by god. he might also created another religion.
What do you think? killing people of other religion in the name of jihad or crusade is good ?

You are right. why do people kill the children of god? If their god is the mightiest, all are the children of the same god. then why do they kill children of god? God must have special purpose for doing everything.

I often wonder how many wars could have never happened if it wasn't for that fact. Over the centuries, this has been common. Christians durring the crusades, (though the moores weren't totaly inocent either), as well as durring the witch hunts. Today it is radical islam. Not Islam itself, but RADICAL islam. I want to make that distintion. Why is no easy answer. The people professing that kind of faith truly believe that they are doing what God, allah or what ever commands them. The influence is so strong and the leaders so persuasive that people lose all sense of self and blindly believe what they are doing is the will of their god.

Ok, you learnt that god created everyone. But u missed a fact, and a very important fact, souls are neither created nor destroyed. Its just bodies that are left behind. I ask you, how can anyone kill someone. I mean, it's impossible. You only switch the soul from one body to another. You haven't killed anyone. So, there is no need to be sad when you hear or see somebody getting killed. Actually, enjoy it. its a part of life, a part of god's creation. everybody would be happy if you consider it.
