Lately on Mylot I've seen a plethora of stories about horrendous things food preparers are supposedly doing to the food customers are buying. The stories are disgusting in the extreme. I have two friends-one who remodels and updates restaurant kitchens and one who is an inspector of food preparation places. Both have described for me the extreme steps that have been taken in all such places to maintain sanitation, and watchfulness of employees and so on- as the owners and managers are protective of their products and their business. One story posted on Mylot involved taco bell- and I know its impossible becaue everyone I've ever been in has the entire process of food prep open to public view.So who benefits from the existance of these stories. Do we have a fundamental need to create gross out stories that has found satisfaction in chain restaurant kitchen tales- or are any of these at all true? whaddaya think?
