Oh far too many to choose from. I am a big fan of the dry W. C. Fields type humour, and love his famous quote about children.........
"They are very good with mustard." And of course, when asked how he liked children, he simply said "Parboiled"!!!
I also love Brigitte Bardot's quote about animals, as it is pretty much my philosophy on life:-
"People will betray your secrets, your friendship and your love. But animals will never deceive you. If you love them, they love you back"
And last but not least, there's always Winston Churchill's famous conversation with Lady Astor. She said,
"Sir, if you were my husband, I would poison your drink."
And he replied:-
"Madam, if you were my wife, I would drink it."

And on being rebuked by her.
Lady Astor: "Mr. Churchill, you're drunk!"
Winston Churchill: "Yes, and you, Madam, are ugly. But tomorrow, I
shall be sober."

I used to have a few Morrissey quotes saved as a txt file, but I don't know what happened to it. It has disappeared! But anyway, here's one of 'em!
"I certainly think Britney Spears is the devil. The way she projects herself and the fact that she is so obviously vacuous. I think it's such a shame that she became so influential to very small children." -- MORRISSEY

Man, where would I start? I've got a blog full of them -in fact, TWO blogs. Go and take your pick.
The most recent is 'I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy.' Dorothy Parker.
The main blog is:

I wonder if that is her, I have seen her name on many quotes originally said by others. Similarly, "Better light a candle than curse the darkness" is often attributed to Eleanor Roosevelt, though it was said of her and is originally an old Chinese proverb I believe.

Have you heard this one;
"Like a strange mixture of fool and angel they both rush in and fear to tread at the same time."

It's so hard when I have to, and so easy when I want to.
If you don't like something change it; if you can't change it, change the way you think about it
So often time it happens, we all live our life in chains, and we never even know we have the key.
We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars
Got no checkbooks, got no banks,
Still I'd like to express my thanks -
I got the sun in the morning and the moon at night
True contentment depends not upon what we have; a tub was large enough for Diogenes, but a world was too little for Alexander
Night time is really the best time to work. All the ideas are there to be yours because everyone else is asleep.
Research is the name given the crystal formed when the night's worry is added to the day's sweat
Whoever thinks of going to bed before twelve o'clock is a scoundrel
"There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle."
"We are not retreating - we are advancing in another Direction."

Must say I prefer;
We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars and clambering on others to get there, just a few are trying to make the gutter a better place to live

I love quotes...they usually pop up in my head to match a situation - too many to pick a favorite.
