How long to wait before you rate a discussion?

I was curious how long we should wait before we rate a discussion. I mean someone might have only 2 people add to the discussion or you may end up with 100. You don't want to miss rating that 35th person that may have had the best thing to add to it. Right? So, do you rate the same day or give it a few days?

I rate people straight off. Every time I go back through my discussions to read up on old responses and new responses I rate the new ones. If I didn't rate the first responses straight off then I probably would never end up rating any of them at all. I've never had a discussion get more than like 20 responses to it. If I got 100 responses I can almost guarantee you that I wouldn't go through and rate them all.

I haven't been a member of myLot for very long and I have only posted a few discussions. I have waited for at least a couple of days, or until I was fairly sure that I wouldn't receive any more responses, before I marked a best response. I think it is more encouraging to wait a couple of days before marking best response as some people might not bother to respond if they see that the best response has already been given. This is just my personal view.
