Bullying

I wasn't a bully. I got called out to fight a few times, but I always declined. I think bullying is a problem. It's terrible for the poor kids who have been through it.

I was bullied a lot while I was in school and it made me hate school. I really think the activity of bullying is old and stupid. You're going to go and try to make yourself look so much better by hurting other fellow classmates? I think that's terrible that kids and adults still do this to this day. I wish the school boards would pass something to deal with the problem of bullying these days instead of just sitting by and letting it happen. I don't know what the main problem is that causes these children to act out as bullies. I think that most of the time there is something going on at their home that may be part of the reason. They could be involved in a violent household where they need to feel superior to the other kids in their class or in a neglectful home where they're made to feel like they don't matter. I never felt like I belonged due to these bullies. They made me feel like I should have been somewhere else when this was always brought to my attention. I never did anything to even start the teasing, they just went ahead and just started no matter what was going on. There's nothing I hated more than to come home in the middle of the day and know I had to go back to school the next day. If I was back in school as the person I am today, things would be different. If I saw the bullying go on too long, I would consider saying something to someone in a position of authority. Sometimes, depending on the situation, they would get a mouthful from me or hopefully by that time the principal of the school would have done something to correct their behavior, whether it be a suspension or just a warning that they'll get worse if they continue their behavior. So, in conclusion, I think bullying is becoming a terrible problem we have to be aware of in schools nowadays. I think school boards need to step up and create a plan to discipline bullies and ones that tend to make others feel bad. In my opinion.. When people attend school they should feel safe, not scared to go to school each & everyday. That's sad if one feels that frightened to go to there own classes.. Thanks for allowing me to share! xx

bullying is a big problem today it needs to be nipped in the bud because now when someone is being bullied they take drastic measures for payback, sometimes a deadly payback so if any of u know someone is being bullied try and help them we don't need another columbine do we?

When I was in school I was bullied quite a bit. My family was quite poor and the kids who had a little more always picked on me. To this day I can't stand the thoughts of school. I think bullying is a big problem today and I think there should be a zero tolerance policy against it in all schools.

I never had the misfortune to deal with a bully, but I do know it is still a problem. I had a boy in my 2nd year kindergarten class who was almost 8 years old and much larger than the other children in the class. I'd hate to guess how many times during the year he injured anothe child or knocked someone down trying to get to something first. Nothing I could say or do would make him change his behavior. He was an only child who was thoroughly convinced that the world revolved around him and that he could do anything he wanted to anyone.

I was never bullied. I was prepy though. Well I was friends with the preps & the rednecks. I did bully several people though. They were bigger then me so i dont think it was really bullyin. Was it? No one messed with me cause the principal said i was a "hel1 cat" but he liked me & i never really got in trouble.

I hate bullies... There was a boy who used to beat everyone up... one day he tried to beat me up because I was the littlest girl in the class... i beat the crap out of him and he didn't mess with me again.. then I was labeled as the crazy girl when she gets mad

I was bullied terribly starting in the last couple of years of elementary school pretty much right up to the time I graduated high school. It was so bad that by the time I was 17 I was seriously considering just dropping out and going for a GED instead(I didn't though, drop out I mean). I used to fake being sick just so I could stay home and not have to deal with the torment every now and then. For whatever reason, we had some truly nasty people in our school, and I was stuck with most of them for several years. I never felt more liberated than the day I graduated high school, and I haven't looked back since. Glad to be rid of those people. As far as bullying today, I really have no idea but I imagine it's as much of a problem as it's ever been. Bullies are eternal.

Yes I think its a problem. Kids are too damn mean these days and need to stop it!!!

no i wasn't bullied as a child but i was the one bullying everyone else. this has effected my life too though. i'm sure not as much as the ones i bullied but i feel terrible about it to this day. i've even contacted some people to apologize. and if anyone knows me on here i'll say it here. i'm sorry to everone i hurt. i do think bullying is a huge problem today every generation it seems to get worse and meaner. it's also become more physical as well.

I'd say I'm a bully when it comes to stupid people I tell them they are being stupid.
