My daughter is 2 1/2 and she won't go to the pot. She will sit for a while and then after she has already went in her pull-up she will tell me. Is there anything that I can do to try and help her learned to go to the pot.

It sounds like she doesn't yet get the concept. I find if you can have them sitting on the potty chair and happen to catch them going, you can make a big deal out of it. Then they start to understand the whole goal. "Oh. Mommy gets really happen when I go in this little potty chair. Ok."
Teaching them to know when they need to get to the potty is another issue. What helped with my two girls was getting them pretty big-girl panties (my Mom taught me this trick). I let them pick out the panties so they are really excited and don't want to ruin them. Then put them on them and let them be that way around the house (you can use rubber pants over the top if you're worried about carpet and furniture). Then when they go, they don't have the diaper absorbing everything - it's really uncomfortable and they realize they're getting the pretty panties all wet and icky. Mine learned pretty quickly after that to feel when the urge to go was happening, and that they needed to get to the potty to avoid the wet situation.
All in all, it took patience. Lots and lots of patience.

Ugh. Not "mommy gets really happen" but "Mommy gets really happy.."

From experience, it sounds to me like she is not ready for it. I would not worry to much since she is under three. I would let her move at her pace and you may be very surprised at the result. I certainly hope that you are explaining that big girls use the potty, and have her come in the bathroom with you so that she knows what is going on.
