I love Richard Dean Anderson! I loved him in McGyver and he was great in Stargate SG-1. I have to admit that I lost touch with Stargate the last few seasons, but am getting back into it again. Why did he leave the show? Does anyone know? He was so great on the show...I just can't see someone else taking over his role or replacing him in any way. The loss of character seems like it would make the show less...is this true? I haven't seen any episodes yet without him.

He does still show up on SG-1 and Atlantis it's just not as often. I wish it was though because I like his character on there.
I liked him for a long time. Not just on Stargate or MacGyver but I also liked him on Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. It was a musical TV show based on the movie. He played Adam on there. I also liked him in Legend even though it wasn't always that good of a storyline. He was good in it. He was on General Hospital but I don't really remember him on there. I started watching it in the 80's and at that time I can't be sure if he was on or not.

I really liked him on stargate sg1 also. He was on Stargate Atlantas this week. He hasnt completely left the series but I do believe that this the last season for sg1. I'm not sure about Atlantas, but I hope it stays around. I really liked both shows and O'Niel was a big part of that although I think he should have married Carter. Take care.
