What made you leave from your work?

I leave my work and decided to be a stay at home mom when I got sick due to stress and very low compensation from the company I've worked. It's just sad because I made a lot of friends in my workplace and even true friends.Though, there are some detractors in every company because I'm the new one there and made everything possible to work on that department which add stress also during my working days.Anyway, everything is dispensable!

Hello purplecyreene, first thing, i welcome you to join myLot forum here. Actually i have family to take care, so basically i would not simply leave the company due to my responsibility. Based on my last experience, if the work cause me too much problem ,for eg: my ex-boss not appreciate and respect her staff, then i have no choice and will leave the company.

It was a hard choice to leave my job to be at home with my daughter. I was in the Navy, when I was pregnant with her. I was put in charge of a hazard material building handing out containers of cleaners. I got tired of risking my babies health so I requested to get out of the Navy on a medical discharge. Well, I was moved to another location and closer to where my husband worked, he was also in the Navy. I loved my new job, and before I could do anything. My paperwork to be discharged already went through and there was nothing I could do about it. Now looking back, I wish I just requested to be relocated to a better place or job and stayed in. After 6 wks of being home with my daughter, I knew I would be put back on a ship and my husband would go to shore, so she would have to be put in a daycare. At that time I could have easily afforded a daycare for her. Now that's it's been 11 years of leaving the service, I plan on looking for any job that will let me work while my kids are in school. I still have awhile to go before that happens.

If you're not happy with your work environment then its a good things that you left. I would do the same if I were you. There'll always be a better workplace for your talents. Seek a company with a good track record and employee care system. Goodluck and happy hunting.
