What would your Dream House be like?

I just bought my first house a year ago & I love it!
And yet, as I look back over the years, it's not *exactly* what I may have hoped for or envisioned.
For one thing, I always knew that I wanted at least *part* of the structure to be *round*. I couldn't count the times I toyed with the idea of buying a castle somewhere in Europe. (although I've never even been to Europe!!!)
But I always wanted to have a big, beautiful marble fountain out in the middle. And richly coloured tapestries everywhere, beautiful artwork and statues... and lots of trap doors & places to hide. And fireplaces, a library... many, many rooms & nooks & crannies...
I've been a bit reclusive for many years now. And I always imagined that my house would be my own private world. Like a Garden of Eden, unto itself. And I wouldn't have to leave unless I really *wanted* to.
It would be a very safe place, and the outside would be lush & green with perhaps a waterfall and meadows, etc. I would have people to protect me and my family, people to make dinner, keep the house clean, etc. And they would all be treated with great respect and honor, and paid well.
Alas, it's just a dream. But it's my dream, and I like to dwell in it sometimes.
What are your dreams for your homes? Please do share.

My dream house will just be a small house with a spacious lawn. I don’t want to dwell on a castle like house because I just want to dwell only with my sweetheart. Small house but with complete basic necessities for household chores. I love gardening that’s why I prefer a huge backyard or lawn. Surrounded with different and rare tropical plants, the gazebo will stand beside a pond of Japanese koi to feel the serenity of the crystal sound coming from the waterfall. On the other side will lay a medium size swimming pool for us to dive with my sweety during the hot summer month.

Very cool. A beautiful, well-thought-out response. I'm terrible at gardening ~ but share your love for nature & beauty.
Your Dream House sounds beautiful & peaceful. Even poetic.
Blessings,
Gwen
