Havaianas slippers are rubber slippers made in Brazil. It costs around 615-1000+ PHP here in the Philippines. It's super expensive but it remains a hit here in our country. I admit that I have 5 pairs of it and counting. I'm sorta addicted to it.. even if it's really not worth it. For a price like that, I could already buy around 6-10 pairs of local slippers amounting to 100php each. It's just so weird that people still buy it amidst its high cost. Maybe it's the brand..and the cute designs. Plus, it's very much comfortable to wear. It has this distinct quality that other people go for i think. But it's still a pair of RUBBER slippers..so there.

hi!you are right!havaianas slippers are so comfortable to wear.although the price is really high but it won't be a top selling brand if it doesn't compensate the quality.i have this slippers too,my husband brought it from Brazil and they are adorable.i love it!

I have two pairs of Havaianas flip flops and I love them. Havaianas slippers are so pretty and comfortable. They also last longer so I agree that it's woth every cent. It's like a fashion statement.

try dupe or ipanema...they are definitely better...feels more comfortable and are also more durable. the cost is almost the same. some designs are even cheaper. havaianas, I think, are overrated. They are just more popular here in the Phlippines but the two brands I mentioned are worth your money, I guarantee.

I used to be a (strict) bargain shopper until I found a pair of these. I've had my first pair for 2 years now and I use it all the time. It still looks new. For the price, it may be a hefty one but for me, it's worth it. I'm planning to buy another pair. I'd also like to try Dupe's slipper that is gel injected. It's a little bit cheaper and they say its super comfortable. To be practical, own one that you can match almost any outfit with. You'll appreciate it when you've been walking for hours specially when shopping. :)

its a fashion statement. i have this perception on people who splurge on these as "hey look at me, im in", lets accept the fact that there are people who are willing to spend almost the rest of their savings just to say that they belong. i agree. they are only slippers, and if you buy them in brazil, cmon they are the same with local slippers we have here.

am also from the philippines and had i been working (am a stay at home mom) i'd not buy havianas slippers for i'd rather spend on my working shoes. however, since i'm always in flip flops in and out of the house this is sort of a wise spending for me. i only have one pair for this is the sole reason i bought this pair. they would last for a long, long time and i bought the all black super high havianas. however, i disagree with you when you see they're almost the same as the local brands. i used to have about 5 pairs of flip flops made locally with different materials but nothing is as comfortable with havianas .

i actually dont have those though i have few slippers. but a friend of mine has many havaianas slippers. i think almost all of her slippers are from havaianas. for me, it doesn't look super ok at all. it's looks the same with some slippers i sometimes see on the grocery store. maybe the difference is the quality. but soon why not i buy one..

for me, it's expensive, i don't understand why there are so many people lining up in havaianas store... i don't have one yet but the most that i am willing to spend is only for ONE pair of havaianas slippers... and i will make sure to use it for three to four years at the minimum...

i have A pair. and i think that's enough. i think the price of havaianas are too expensive. It looks totally just like spartan or islander slippers. lol.. Seriously though, I understand why people go gaga over havies. It's cute, and it's the fad. Plus it has this cute and colorful designs... But if i have that much moolahs, I'd rather buy something for my wardrobe.. =D
