as for me i would wait for the dvd version , for practicalities sake , buying your own copy would also mean , full access or you can watch re-watch the film for as long as I want to , unlike going to the cinemas you have mingle with countless of people watching a blockbuster film, nosy movie goers, etc.

for actually, i rather wait for a copy -- to download.=) downloading movies will cost you nothing especially if you have internet connection at home. before i used to watch movies on the big screen every weekend. but then when my sister likes to buy tapes, she asked me to just stop wasting my money on cinemas and instead borrow her tapes. but when my classmates starts downloading movies online, i got used of it up until now cause aside from watching it with all my necessities nearby because im watching it using my computer for free. and i can download any movies i want.

I like both options. It merely depends on the kind of movies to watch. Even if it's a blockbuster film yet it doesn't relate to my interest, I will most likely wait for its dvd release. But if its in line with my interest, I would definitely watch that movie in cinemas. I prefer kung fu movies, romantic-comedies, action, and fantasy movies. I always look forward to movies shown in theaters each month. I'd love to go out and watch even one movie in a month. It's also one of my past times. Movies really don't hesitate to make me feel better whenever I have woes.

I actually love going to the movies. I take my kids all the time and then we know which ones we want to buy when they come out on dvd. I do going to the adult movies too( I mean the rated R ones),but my spouse does not unless it's something he will enjoy. I am glad the movies do come out dvd that way I do get to watch them. I don't enjoy renting anymore because we have a hard time getting them back on time and half the time I will rent one without getting the time to watch it.

I prefer to do both. I like going to a movie theatre to watch a movie, as I find it is a pretty good experience. Then afterwards i like to also rent it out on dvd to watch again. Depending on how much i like the movie, depends on whether i burn the movie again. Of course you cant see the movie everytime, so sometimes i prefer to just sit down and wait for the dvd to come out. Especially if the movie hasnt been given a very good response by my mates, but I would still like to see it.
Nowadays, you can almost turn your home into a movie theatre, getting large screens or good projectors and having surround sound. If we get some setup like this i will probably very rarely go to the movies, as id have it all at my house, watching movies over and over :)
