I would never buy house with pool, because of maintenance. I get enough work with small fountain. Like you just said…leaves and dirt…not mention cleaning.
I know that most people don’t use pools anyway…because, it is always there.
I get hummock and never use it, but I always wanted to have hummock…lol

We had also bought an above ground pool a month ago, and looking for help in maintaining it. i have read from the internet that it takes around 8 hours a week to maintain it. now i realize its true. we used to swim in it everyday until now, because rainy days has come. i have a few questions though. do you still have to put chlorine everyday? and do youo have to put algaecide everytime it rains?

Yup, we have an inground pool and my hubby affectionately refers to it as 'the albatrose.' He swears that it is an albatrose around his neck! Ha! Yes, there is a lot of upkeep, but on the other hand it has given us many hours of family fun! My children had numerous birthday parties at the pool, there have been so many cookouts that I've lost count. It has been worth it in the long run. I now have my first grandbaby. She lives 4 hours away, but I am hoping that she will come soon for a visit and a dip in the pool!
