All right you deep thinkers! This is a common question from my experience, but since no one has posted it here at mylot, I thought I'd jump all over it.
Which came first? The chicken or the egg?
Ready. Set. Discuss!
(by "discuss" I do not mean a simple reply of "the egg, of course!" Explain your thoughts, please!) LOL

if you go by the popular interpretations of the Bible and what-not ..then the answer is THE CHICKEN...because just like man was born straight out grown with adam, God made the animals just appear not eggs that had to hatch

i think that the chicken- sinse the egg will not hach unless the chicken is there to take care of it.
my dad, though, thinks that the egg- and he has a strange explanation: because the ess is the begining of all life- the egg of the mother and stuff, it came first.
after half an hour of explanation i "got convinced" so he'll get quait.
the chiken.

The chicken. And yes this discussion has been posted before on mylot because I've repsonded to it already. The chicken came first because God created animals and He created them to reproduce. So, you can't have just an egg and expect it to reproduce.

i say chicken came first, basing it on biblical passage where in god created the universe then the world followed by plants and animals. no mention of egg. greetings. : )

as many users have quite intelligently said, yes, it was the chicken. For an egg cannot hatch a chicken without a chicken to first sit on it to incubate it, and ah, if God created man first, and not a baby, then what makes us think he would create an egg first, and not a chicken. ? :)

the chicken did. THe Bible says God created the animals, not He created the eggs to hatch into animals. Anyway if he created the eggs first who would have incubated them until they hatched?

The chicken actually came first. Why do I think this?? We raise chickens and before we started, we had alot of questions as to what to etc. Hens are born with their eggs already inside of them, and they lay them without ever needing a rooster around. They still produce eggs so there isn't much need for a rooster unless you want to raise your own chicks.

My answer is "Chicken". Let me ask u onething...How did u get the egg? and who told u chicken come out of egg. with out a chicken there is no egg, as it is a by product of chicken......
