Is it safe to buy online?

I buy all time online & pay through paypal they offer buyers protection upto 500 pound so u cant be robbed

As long as you follow all the guidelines set out on each web site that your are dealing with, then, Yes it is perfectly safe to go shopping online. Internet security is very high on the agenda for online shops as they need the return custom and dont need any bad press. Hope this helps. Have fun

I have purchased things online before, but normally only when I can't get them at a store somewhere. The main reason I shy away from online stores is because I don't like paying shipping costs, which can be an arm and a leg on some sites. However, established online stores such as Amazon are usually pretty reliable. eBay is a little different, because you're dealing with individuals, and eBay itself does little (if anything) to protect you when you buy things. If you're concerned at all about a store or a product before you buy it, check it out on bizrate.com, which provides comparison shopping and customer reviews of the online store. Do a little research, and I think you'll find that some places are just as reliable and safe as going to the store and buying something in person.

I think it's fairly safe to buy online but you should do a lot of research first about the site. When researching a site, try www.whois.net and see if the site has been in operation for more than a year because if not, chances are you might be scammed. Also, try to see if the site has some sort of feedback or is affiliated with some shopping sites like shopping.com.

I have bought a lot of things online. I have also sold a few things. Just be careful in choosing which websites you use. Go to the ones that are well-established. I have bought and sold through ebay.com, amazon.com, and ioffer.com. I have also bought some stuff through department store and discount store websites such as macys.com, walmart.com and target.com. They have easy to use checkout options. Returns are also not a hassle. They are pretty safe, too. If you're using other websites without a standard checkout method, it would be easier and safer to have a paypal account.
