Do you see a Holistic or Naturopathic doctor as opposed to a western med DR?

I have been wondering what others opinions of naturopathic or holistic doctors are. I have been dealing with an illness that has been labeled as fibromyalgia. Western medicine doctors seem to give pain meds for it and that is it. I would prefer a more in depth look at it...nutrient deciciencies etc. What is your experience with the different types of medicine? What would you recommend?
