It helps by removing or preventing water retention in your body...also drinking water flushes out toxins thus making it easier for your body to absorb nutrients

in a way it can. if you feel like snacking between meals, just drink a glass of water and wait for 15 mins. if you still feel hungry by this time, then allow yourself for some small healthy snacks. this is what i read in Reader's Digest July 2001 issue :-)

Ice cold water is suppose to help even more as your body then works hard to warm up your body. I drink ice water all day long. I also put lemon juice in it as I had read somewhere that it helps and got used to it and now it is a habit.

Definitely be sure to do your research when it comes to switching anything that you'd normally intake on a regular basis. Drinking too much water can be harmful rather than healthy. However my doctor told me to drink at least 60-65 ounces of water daily.

FL ounces, I meant. Not regular ounces. You don't want to water yourself silly. LOL.

If you drink gallons and gallons of water you'll wiegh more not less. If you want to lose weight you can only eat less and walk more.

Water helps to fill you up therefore in theory should curb you're appetite! It also flushes out all of the toxins from you're body and is good for you're digestive system and colon! Apart from all this water has other benefits too! Good for you're skin, hair and nails! If you struggle drinking water alone, try adding a squeeze of lemon, this helps to speed up you're metabolism if you have it warm first thing in a morning!

It can be a benefit only if you replace your normal drinks with water, which is a very good idea. However drinking gallons of water could lead to water intoxication and is potentially fatal. There is no easy way to lose weight, it required hard work.

Drinking too much water will just make you sick. If you drink the recommended amount of water a day consistantly you may loose some weight.

When you drink water you are replenishing your body of needed moisture, moisture which it in turns uses to 'flush' toxins etc from your body via the urninary tract and the intestines. Your body absorbs toxins through the air you breath, in the breakdown and division of cells, in the digestion of the foods you eat, these toxins leave your body via any of the 'moisture routes', urine, BM, sweat... Your body also uses stored energy, aka, fat. When the stored energy is removed from the cells which have contained it, other toxins which may or may not have been stored with it are also placed once again into your system...the body also will return any unused portion of the fat is removed to keep for the next time there is a need. Drinking 'gallons and gallons' of water won't do much for weight loss if that is all you intend to do. You have to burn additional calories, possibly reduce intake of calories to effect the loss you desire. Cutting calories by as little as 10% while increasing your burn by the same amount can add up to substantial weight loss. By dividing your remaining caloric intake into 6 meals per day, you can affect a larger reduction in your intake as you won't 'feel hungry', or as hungry at meal time. Tonning or building muscle will also affect your calorie burn as muscle burns calories at a higher rate, although the scale may indicate a lack of loss, in this case, inches count, rather than pounds as muscle weighs more than fat. The weight loss is easy to measure...just step on the scale. Inches are a bit more complicated but not difficult...measure your upper arms, your neck, bust, waist, hips, thighs and calves. Note these measurements and begin an excercise program designed to tone muscle, measure after 14 days and see where there has been a reduction and where there has been a gain. Toning, defining muscle can make anyone look and feel good.

Drinking a lot of water will not make you lose waight. It may help to speed up your metabolism (depends on how much exercise you do), but its not magic... if you really want to lose water EXERCISE!
