Is it just a myth or truth that women get into more car accidents or drive worse than men? I do not want to hurt anyones feelings but as I've seen many women do some make up things and stuff and once I even saw a women trying to read some kind of a book :O. And is it just mens passion that they participate in rallies and motor sports more that women.
What do you think?

I don't think it has anything to do with gender. I think it's more about experience. You'll find that inexperienced drivers get into fender benders more cos' they panic and don't really know how to react in those situations. Or think they can multi-task like talk on cell phone, put on make-up, read, fiddle with their CDs, etc. when they should be only concentrating on the road.

I've always believed that everything and everyone should be taken on a case by case basis and that includes how to drive. Anyone can be reckless man or a woman and anyone can drive to endanger or do stupid things, it depends on the individual.

This is one of those debates that will probably never get answered satisfactorily for anyone.
Men are generally bigger risk takers. They are often involved in more serious car accidents than women. This would imply that women are safer drivers.
On the other hand, men often AVOID serious accidents more than women. This would give the impression that men are safer.
My guess/opinion is that women are safer with basic everyday driving because they tend to not take as many risks as men. However, by not taking risks they don't always have enough experience to know how to get out of dangerous situations that cause serious accidents. Men are safer in the sense that when they get in trouble on the road they usually know what to do to correct the problem because they've experienced the problems before.
I don't think gender itself has anything to with interest in motor sports. I know there are many kinds but my knowledge is based on US stock car racing. It's roots are in bootlegging, certainly not something many women of the time were brave enough to do. You have to keep in mind that from the first car, men were expected to drive but it wasn't considered a "lady's place". It really wasn't all that long ago that many women didn't drive at all, even now some women still don't. It was all based on the old stereotypes of women. Times are changing and more women have the opportunity to get into motor sports now than they did even 10 years ago. The biggest challenge they face is the fact that this sport has been dominated by men from the start. I would guess that there are just as many women interested in racing as there are men. It's just harder to get accepted. Just imagine what it would be like if a woman wanted to play in the NFL...
By the way I have driven a race car, I work on them regularly, and if we had enough car haulers and trucks I'd be driving one ever weekend too. I have never been in a car accident.

It's just a myth and a bad one. Women are not worse than men. Men may like sport cars and rallies but doesn't mean they drive better. Watching a rally doesn't make you drive better, and there are women that also participate in rallies. The problem is that women are not as well seen as men, as people start thinking, she should be at home taking care of kids and cooking and this is no place for a woman. Some people still think like that.
I've seen good and bad drivers. Men and women. Men drive a lot more than women, at least I see more men driving and I don't think they drive better. It's almost the same. There are women that drive a lot better than men, that's for sure. As there are men that drive better.
One thing I notice is that man are more rude than women. Men yell, scream, call names, complain... Honestly I never saw a woman doing that. I believe some of them do but not as many as men. And for me, that's not a good way of driving, attacking other drivers. I also think women are more careful than men.
