I remember thinking I'd loads of pictures, and they were all of me in a pub.. so I stopped taking pictures. And now I'm trying to sort pictures out, to load them onto my pc, and there are so many events with no photos, people I met on holiday, and all I have is a memory.

Yes, it has happened even to me. That too it was on the day of my sisters engagement. We had a digi-cam to take snaps but i was so busy in work that i was unable to take snaps. Thanks God that the photographer took some snaps and that is our precious memory but then i felt very sad that if only i would have taken snaps then we would have had many snaps of that occasion :(

Do not worry if you do not have photographs of all the occasions, it happens with everyone. Soemtimes we feel that we should have photo of each occasion, but due to one reason or another, it does not get materialised.
I believe ...you have a very sharp and amazing memory...which will compensate for photographs...you would be able to recall the events....without the help of any photo.
Best wishes!

I categorize my past into two different ways of remembering, the photos I have are few but the most important images I have I keep locked away in my mind to be recalled and remembered fondly. Some images I do not want kept so I don't store them. Secondly I write a diary each day which helps me to remember the past. Memory is not a bad thing and sometimes photos can be lost or damaged. I am sorry you have lost your photos.

I really like your idea of writing diary .. feel like doing it ... but I am so lazy .. so don't think I can do it .. but I really appreciate your habit :)

Lots of times ive always felt like I should ahve taken photographs to capture those memories. At the time, im too lazy to carry around a camera and dont land up taking pictures and then later on when i think about ti sometimes I find the memories fading. At times like these, it helps if we have beautiful pictures to help us remember the good times.

When i went to Bangalore for my vacations after i gave my class 12 exam i regretted a lot because i didn't carried my camera, there i felt the necessary of the camera.there our group had a lot of fun which i thinks should be kept in the collections of friends and their memories.

Thats ok. It's sometime better to imagine things than at looking at them. There was no photography before and people used there imaginations to picture something you tell them. The important thing is you were there and have experience the events. You have your memories with you. When we were young, picture was very rare and so the two or three pictures I have when I was a young is very memorable. So the less picture you have the more it is more memorable. So next time take more pictures. I also accidentally deleted my digital picture one time and it's about a year of memories gone. So don't forget to backup your digital pictures too. Smile

oh,definitely.there were people in my life, particularily the ones who have since passed on i wish now i had taken more pictures of.and places i had been to i no longer go to.
sometimes when you're in the moment, you don't realize you should have made more memories.
