It is ture that a being independent of the body lives through a body. At the moment of death, when life departs from body, there is no change in the apperemt physiology of the body. Nevertheless, the dead body immediately starts decay and puterly emitting foul smell. Deviod of life(life in its essence is an intergral part of the Soul till it attains salvation), the body acquire an abhorable state. It proves that although the being enlivens the body, it has an ezistance of its own independent of his body. In parlance of spiritability, this separate entity to called Soul. This soul is our ture identity YOur right answer is to the question, "What am I" is I am that Soul(ATMA").
