I came across a leadership manual. It told me that the president is a servant to the citizens of a particular country. Is it true or false. I can't understand why. Please help me out. Thank you.

yEAH, absolutely what you read is right. The reason why theres a leader in all countries because to serve people who are in need. remember, a real president is a servant not just for display. Thats why during their campaign in elections they are always including a promise that they will serve as their people till their last breath.

Jesus Christ said the leader of all would be their servant. He said we should all keep our personal humility as servants of our brothers and sisters. Citizens should be servants to their country. Citizens should also be leaders of those who are in their youth and learning about being good citizens.

Well first off you have to remember that a president is not supposed to be a king or dictator. His power is not absolute and he must follow the constitution of the country (this may not apply to some "presidents"). Using the US as an example. Think of it as a corporation or business. Think of the president at the CEO. Think of the citizens/voters as the shareholders (not employees). The CEO runs the company, he makes the rules. But ultimately he is responsible to the shareholders for his performance. If he does a bad job, he will be fired. He is the only one in the equation that can be fired. Hence he is very powerful but the millions below can exercise control if they so wish.
