Extend Cab Pickups - Useful or Nuisance?

What do you think? I think they are too long to be functional and too large to not be safety hazaards. I personally don't like them.

I used to drive an extended cab p/u. It did have a short bed, (6.5 ft), and was only 2-doors, so it wasn't super long, and of course that was back in '96 before the extra cab portion was like a full 3+3. I don't think I would drive one of the newer 4-door models.

Hi and thanks for your response! My hubby thinks they are great, but I think they are just too long. I would be afraid to drive it, park it, and especially to have to back one up. I guess to each his own, I'm not a fan of them.

I have one. We hitch up a 5th wheeler, so we need it. But, it is great without it, except for the gas. It is so comfortable in the front and the back. Lots of room for groceries, without bending.
