typically the Internet was geared toward men as it was more tech driven which was male oriented at the time. Now days I think its a mix, and especially with online shopping and stats proving that women, especially mums hold the purse strings. So more content in that area are targeted toward toward women.

Logically it should not matter. It depends upon who uses internet and the manner of usage. It is just a device for use by all. There is no rule forbidding anyone to exploit internet. It is fair to every one. The beauty of internet is that it is a great leveller and it opens up equal opportunitiess for all. The only barriers to the use of internet can be political boundaries, religious bigotry, education and apread of technology.

When I first got online over 10 years ago it was mostly male, but I think at this point there might be an equal number of men and women using it. From what I've read men and women use the 'Net differently; women more for email and chatting.

I think it tries to favor both, but i think women can get more use out of it. Women like to shop and talk more than men, and you can do both online. Like mylot...women (and men of course) get to talk a lot about anything they want/enjoy. And then you get money to shop on the internet! Its like women heaven! lol

as regards my experience in the net i can answer about internet favors the men..i think the majority of he net population are men..surely there are also women but they are in percentage much mor few than men..if you also consider not the presence itself but the activity i found men are much more active in relation to women day per day..
