I have a LCD Monitor at my home Desktop and a CRT Monitor at my office. I also have a Laptop that I use for my official purposes and for mobile reasons. I prefer LCD monitor than CRT for that you get less strain on your eyes with LCD Monitors than the CRT Monitors. But it is always true that CRT Monitor Displays are much Better displays than the LCD currently. I hope LCD Monitors will soon become as clear the CRT monitors also. Also LCD Monitors use very less space on my desktop, whereas the CRT Monitors takes up a lot of space. Maintenance of the LCD Monitors is very easy than the CRT Monitors. Recently even the cost of LCD Monitors has been coming down, so I prefer to stay with LCD Monitors.

For surfing the net, obviously an LCD will win over CRT. And it is recommended to use LCD for those longer times you spend on Computers.

CRT last longer, still have same monitor from 1998, compaq might build computers shoddy but they have some nice crt monitors.

I love to use LCD while surfing, that's not so eye-soaring, sleek, and it emits heat very minimal. Sadly, I do have CRT (which my budget declares me to have) and I can't wait to have LCD at least for my server soon.

I love to use LCD because you can surf in the internet for long time. It can't irritate your eyes and have high resolution compare to CRT.
