How can you get many replies if nobody's reading your post? I've been a member for a month and starting to get active yesterday. I try my hardest to find unique topics but still members aren't responding. It's kinda sad though, I know but what can you do? I guess that's the way it is. And now like others I also wonder, what makes a good post? What will I do to make my post interesting so that loads of members will reply? Can somebody answer me? Let's talk...

For getting more and more responses you should post discusions that are general. General means that they belong to something that more and more people feel is linked with their lives. It is not necessary to try and add humour or sommething specail to your posts but the sense of connectivity should be there.

Actually,I got the same problem, mainly because my English is not good so it hard for me to post something very interesting.Aside from common topics I think you should making as much friends as you can and respond your friends seriously this way your friends must do the same thing to you.also intereting topics always is a good idea.

I think that the best way to get more responses is to respond to get to know more people by responding to their discussions. Of course you have to write good posts too, but getting your name out there for others to see can help a lot to increase the number of responses you will get.

From what I have seen, I usually get the most responses from my dicusions that are kept pretty simple. Things that dont require much thought. I know it sounds kind of sad, but thats what usually gets the most responses- that and haveing lots of friends. But friends come with time. Take care!

First of all dont mark best response that quickly as most of people dont bother to discussions which already have best responses so atleast keep it open for one week, second try to mix your topic with something knowledgeable, debatable, funny and general aswell so that everyone can talk about it, and always try to your reply your friends topics aswell, so that they will know you are active and they will reply in your.
Suppose you have got 100 friends and you reply to everyone's topics every now and than ,than when you'll start a new discussion you'll get some 50 responses aswell, atleast thats i think.Other than that always look for interesting one's and just not gender specific as than their will be low chances to get mixed responses.Hopefully you'll pick the rythm and if you do than advice me back :).

I'm pretty new here so I'm still not sure how to get responses. I just keep writing and leaving comments on the discussions that I can relate too.

Why not check what people are interested in and then start a discussion from your personal wiew but keep it very simple, and you could leave some space before the end question so that everybody sees it at once.
Check the writing style of those who are more experienced and see if there is something to learn.

You might find reading the guidlines is quite helpful...see the bottom of each page.
If you had done this initially, you would have discovered that you should be doing a search for a topic before you start a new one. You would have discovered that this particular question has been asked a squillion times. All you had to do was read all the responses to get your answer.
