I remember when I was a kid when our teacher would tell us: when your name is called please raise your right hand. MyLot is a community where there are people of different walks of life, different lifestyles, different religions but most of all of different races.
I need to know and befriend with my fellow PINOYS here in myLot. PINOY: will you please stand up and introduce yourself. Thanks.

nice to have you vesuvius. you mustve been proud by now by the "pacman's" recent victory. well, all pinoy should. mikaela though, as you've seen in the avatar is our first baby in five years in marriage. and im from the city of Golden friendship: Cagayan de Oro city.

its the smell maybe. the smell like hell. but mind you guys who doesnt like that smell. Durians may smell like hell but tastes like heaven. on the contrary, i really love its "Helly" smell :)

Hi! I'm a Filipino highschool Science teacher working here in the States. I'm teaching in a big Christian school in Philadelphia. I'm quite happy with my job here, but I surely miss the Philippines. In fact, I shall be spending my summer break from school there (in June). I am quite excited to see my family, friends, former students, and other Pinoys soon. Happy myLotting!

Hi there! I am also a Filipino who lives particularly in Calocon City. This is somewhere in Metro Manila. I've turned 26 last April.

Thank you very much, mikaelalexis, I had no idea what PINOY meant. I looked it up and now I can say I learned something today. I love to be able to say I learned something new everyday.
Pinoy is a demonym used by Filipinos for their compatriots in the Philippines and around the world. Filipinos usually refer to themselves informally as Pinoy (feminine: Pinay), which is formed by taking the last four letters of the word 'Pilipino' and adding the diminutive suffix -y. The word was coined by expatriate Filipino Americans during the 1920s and was later adopted by Filipinos in the Philippines.
Pinoy is a term of endearment and is rarely used in formal settings. The term is akin to that of a nickname which is used by close family members and friends so that one who uses it somehow already developed some close ties with Filipinos.
I am not PINOY but am very happy to know what it means.

welcome to mylot, lizasese. i hope that you will stay around for good. i would like to request you to make your discussions come in well defined terms. one liner discussions are not that easy to respond to because we have to make out for ourselves as to what the poster is driving at. happy posting on your discussions and responses. one discussion a day and many responses will be a good way to earn fast and get the points shoot up.
