Why do so many mylotters share their personal daily routine with us?

I do not have a problem with that, it is just that i see many mylotters recently, that share each and every detail of their daily routine with us. An example to this is, i ate an egg this morning, i woke tired, i am cleaning my kitchen and succeeding. That is wonderful that they are doing those things, i also do them, but i do not share my regular doing with anyone online, because i do not think that it leads to any discussion. I found myself wanting to respond to their posts, but all i had to say was: Oh, good, That is wonderful you ate an egg this morning. Yahoo. Keep on doing that every day. I do not want to insulate anybody, But can it lead to a serious quality discussion. I do not think so. Tell me if you have also tackled to those posts, and what do you really think about it? Should they be allowed? Does it lead to a good quality discussion?

Liranlog, wonderful points you raised in your discussion. Your discussion is superb. I was also thinking on the same lines... that why do some members wish to share their daily routine on-line? It does not make any fruitful discussion to me..... how the description of their daily routine can iginite us to answer their discussion. Yes, I fully and entirely agree with whatever you said in your discussion and I hope that someone will take a clue and guidance from your discussion.

I think that is why Mylot decided to go ahead with all the blogs on the site, because blogs enable people to do just what you said share details of their daily lifes and routines. They are diary formats and yes as you rightfully say are not real discussions and therefore you can't really have a good deep meaningful response to them.

It does annoy me at times. But sometimes the same gives me a bout of laughter. I would not start a discussion like that, however, I donot have any problem if the same is reframed in a more interesting and catchy way.
For instance:
If blue is your favorite color then why are you sad when you listen to blues??
If obesity is a serious issue today then why fats are funny (no offense meant to anyone)??
These discussions are simple yet interesting and humorous. I don’t mind responding to such. Don’t you feel, at some point or the other we should indulge in frivolous things for they provide us with the true essence of life?

mimpi, the examples you gave are wonderful, and the first one made me smile for a few minutes, i am not talking about those ones, i think you know what i am talking about. You know: i woke up this morning, and went to the closet, picked my green pants, and went to the car..you know what i mean? usually there is no question to the audiance of readers at the end of them. so you end up asking yourself..what am i supposed to do now, how can i react to that?

I seem to have been coming across some of these kinds of discussions lately, and at a time when I'm struggling with motivation to start with, it doesn't really do a whole lot of good lol.
I think on the lighter side of things it COULD lead to a good discussion if it were in the context of something else they were discussing such as "I was cleaning my kitchen AND ...." See where I'm going with this?
However, I don't feel that just saying that can lead to a good discussion. Who's going to reply to a discussion like that? I don't think I'd have an answer for that to be honest.

Maybe they can't think of anything else to start a discussion with, or maybe they are just so stuck with their daily routine that even if they are there facing their computers and trying to have fun mylotting, all that run around their minds were the things they do in a day to day basis. :P
Like you, I have also came across such posts, and as much as possible, i tried to drop a couple of lines. But there are just some posts that seem to be so hard to respond to, so I just leave it without writing a response. :P

I haven't seen much of those, but I've seen the likes of "what are you wearing right now" and "what are you feeling right now" which I don't realy think fit to this kind of forum.
As far as I can see, no quality discussion might arise of that, unless someone here can make me see things differently...

Sure it could lead to a good discussion on the lighter side of things. Like what kind of an egg was it? From an ostrich, a hen, a duck? Was the egg fried or boiled? See what i mean? It can lead to a good frienship just to keep the discussion going. Getting to know someone and not just here for the loot. Please don't take my reply to seriously? I am just expressing my feelings a bit. I find it hard to make friends on mylot probably because people don't know who to trust! Sorry i got off track.
Take care Liranlgo.

I have not yet tackled any of these posta dn i am not sure i would reply to a post where the main-subject is that the person had an egg this morning =)
I would have a lack of things to say and then i much rather stay quiet =)

I have also come across with so much those kind of posting and I have not responded much!
I think other way that they are so indulged in their work related things that they can't put anything else!!
They are really bound in that situation and that is the issue for me! Because I think that if a person is not getting time to think about other things than what he or she is doing in daily life then how much such people are occupied in that?!
And what kind of boredum or lack of non-exposer thing would be there inside them?!Have you thought of all such things? Please share then ...

Yes i did healwell. i am not sure they are indulged in their work. I think that there is a part of them, that really wants us to listen to. But they do not do it in the right way, of a discussion. I know that even i, have moments that i do want to share my story, but i know that i try to write it in a way that people can respond to it.
