Definitely. A clean, simple, neat and well-presented cv would make a really good impression to the person who doesn't even know you. CV is the first thing the interviewer uses to decide if he/ she would like to meet you up or not. And the impression is basically founded by reading your profile. If it is clear, well-presented and well-formatted, you should score a higher chance to be granted an interview.

CV means Curriculum Vitae which mean Bio data or
Resume. Now people are using CV very commonly. It is a Latin word i think

off course. Cv is the starting point of initiation of job interview and all. your Cv must be a point of start that the company will ask you for interview. atleast it should be well written May be at the end good interview and good ability counts. But Cv is most important.

Yes, A good CV is very important, It gives a first impression about you before you happen to meet the interviewer. Rest is on you,how you face the interview.

Personally, I don't think its that important. Anyone may look good on paper, but I still would like to hear what they have to say. Anyone can stretch the truth a little on their resume. As a manager of private schools. I had a few teachers came in for interviews and their resumes spectacular. But once they did the teaching demo. I was turned off. So, its not the cv that will do the work, it's the person doing the work.
