Similarity between Shawshank Redemption and Alcatraz

We watched SR at the cinema and since then it has been our favourite movie. Some time afterwards we watched Escape from Alcatraz and realised it is the same storyline. Anyone else noticed that?

pradheep666 i jus watch escape from alcatraz after seein this discussion ...til dis date i thot SR was da bestt movie ever..but to my shock i felt every minute detail of it had been copied from some other movie...it lost da originallity which i thot it was good at ...tho...

pradheep666 how much money do u people actually make a month... i'd be happy with some 50 tp 100 dollars a month .... which cud be a useful pocket money..i'm stil in to searching the many ways of online money making... al i know is it seems to be a quick sand...mite...
