What should i do if my dog is not learning wat m teachin him?

I hav a dog named "bruno" n i hav a trainer 4 him but he does each n everythin in front of da trainer but ven da trainer goes away, he dosent listens 2 us. V need 2 hit him but stil he does da same thing. Can u tel me wat 2 do??
