purety stay with desktop screen/TV/laptop for a very long time can surely damage ur eyes. But in the morden time now, we have to use them both at work or at home. im a computer engineer, stay with my laptop is my work. as a result, i'm wearing heavy glass now :(

purety No, I will not turn off my laptop during the storm. The chance of getting yout laptop shock is very little, remember we have the lighting conductor in each building? it can 99% protect the damage of lighting. If I were you, i will not worry about it~
