Which one was better...the book or the movie?

There are a lot of movies made after books, but one of the two is always better than the other.Give me your example of a movie that was better than the book (or the other way around,)and why do you think it was so.

I loved it, that's why I saw it for....about 20 times.What about you?

I really couldn't believe there is no discussion open for this movie.I even saw the anime cartoons for this one, but the movie....and the actors...I for one think that it was a boost in career for many of them. Movies like this...
