Can anyone tell me about the guinea pig life span. How much they life. Maximum life of guinnea pig ever?

glitzypurple they say that guinea pigs are short-lived... but i had one guinea pig back then, he lived for about 2-3 years.

Pigglies That's very short. Hamsters live around 2-3 years, but guinea pigs live longer with proper care (diet of mostly hay and veggies, large enough clean cage, a friend since they're social, vet visits, etc.).

Pigglies Well cared for, guinea pigs will live 5 to 8 years (provided they don't have genetic defects or have some type of accident). I think the oldest guinea pig I've had was nearly 9 years old. I've heard of them living to 10 years old. Definitely check out...
