Truth about the prequels

Does anyone else get the impression that the prequel trilogy got bashed simply because we all remember the O.T. films with such fondness because they WERE are childhoods?

sdwsr11 I must admit I love all six movies and I pray they make more but I do believe the O.T. had an emotion the P.T. lacked. However I think the new movies are so visually stunning it is truly a toss up.
