dressing casual at work?

i was thinking today that why would people wear formal at work . is it because of respect? ok i can accept that however i really thought that wouldnt people be more effective when they are more comfy? i think its for sure so why...

shana123 When your in holidays you wear casuals and when your at work you wear formals.. i dont think anything wrong in this , see if your allowed to ear causuals in your office dont you gte bored wearing just causals? and you wont seem to look like a professional...
