smikin you should also exercise and have an active lifestyle. you could still prevent having diabetes as longs as you have self discipline. Especially on your food intake. Have regular check up and do random blood sugar or fasting blood sugar test so you could...

smikin I hope that she recovers and wont undergo amputation. But I think, she really needs to if she wants to save her leg and her life. My prayers are with her for her fast recovery.

smikin yes. we should be thankful that we are not but we have to have a healthy lifestyle. avoid too much intake of sweet and fatty foods.

smikin YEs. The foot or our extremities are at risk because the are away from our body and distribution of oxygen is difficult. We should really be careful because it is a very costly disease.
