What is this annoying pop-up?!

Every half hour or so, beginning this morning, a little pop-up appears saying "You can now get the new version!" I have no friggin' idea what this is but it wants me to download it. I have tons of protection on my PC and this...

speedking I've had the same thing happen and you're right, it doesn't give you any clue as to what it is for.
