Starline So if the military pay for your housing maybe you can save up, and like you say buy a house when he retires. Or maybe just spend the money traveling instead.. there are lots of cool places i would like to live at if I had money saved up.

Starline Wow that's a great way to go. I'll try to save up, and force him to save up too. Eventually I know that we'll have enough for a downpayment.

Starline I think that a lot of couples want to be married BEFORE they get a house because marriage is a promise to live together for the rest of your life, and houses are so expensive that it takes two to pay it off :D

Starline Even if you might not be the greatest small talker right now you must really have the best opportunity to practice with your profession. So that's great!

Starline It's not easy to be shy, but it's worth training to become a good chitchatter, especially since social skills is actually important for most work situations.

Starline For me it totally depends on if I have a good day or not.. which sucks because sometimes you are in a situation where you really ought to make a contact even when you don't have a talkative day. So I try to practice so I'll be prepared.

Starline Hi how are you is a good start, unless it's a guy who thinks that you are flirting with him! Reading body language is difficult, I'll start thinking about that too.
