Best way to learn PHP?

Some say e-books or online tutorials. But you see many people who say they learned just by looking at the code of scripts such as phpbb and just looked at what each thing did. So how did you learn or are learning?

StephenP I agree, going through stuff that other people made, changing it and making your own based on it is the way to go. Syntactically, PHP is not at all difficult, it's just a matter of learning the functions and what they do.

Steal this Album! very underrated

This lesser known system of a down album deserves a lot more credit, it is my personal favorite. What do you guys think about it, considering that you have even heard of it

StephenP I agree, underrated but great. IEAIAO was my favourite on the album, crazy weird lyrics in it though. "Icicle stretchings, bicycle shoestrings, one flag, flag over one..." Crazy but good.

StephenP Ah, where do I start? I like pretty much everything by them, but especially: Aerials BYOB I-E-A-I-A-O (kind of weird but good) Soldier Side.

What are the softwares necessary for web design?

I'm just starting to lear web design and I want to know the softwares I have to learn in order to create my own website. Right now I'm focusing on html and css.

StephenP There are a bunch of programs out there (such as FrontPage and Macromedia (Adobe) DreamWeaver where you can drag and drop elements and such... For straight code editing, like in HTML or PHP, I'd recommend an IDE or editor such as CodePress.

StephenP As usual, wikipedia has a nice page on it with plenty of info. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rat Just try searching around on google, but the wikipedia page has a lot of free-license pictures in itself.

StephenP Try going to http://www.freesql.org It's free and easy to sign up and use, I've used it myself.
