What makes people still poor despite working hard

I'm just wondering what keeps people down financially despite all the struggles. In fact it even artisans that work so hard that are poorer,,why is this so?

MindMusing Most of the people live in present. They earn they spend. If we save a little daily, not instantly but slowly and gradually we can conquer poverty. Sometime, political games and high prices and inflamations and sickness play a bad role too
