My Maltese male hikes his leg on everything

I'm having a terrible time potty training my male Maltese. He hikes his leg on everything even as he is going out the door to the outdoors. I can't seem to get through to this guy! Are all male dogs this difficult?

success2 I have the same problem with my little Maltese. He is almost 2 years old now, and he does hike his leg occasionally on furniture. We yell at him when we see him do it, and he knows he is not supposed to, but acts like he just HAS to do it!! We keep a puppy pad...

What do you think of the new Abby?? I wish they would give us some warning on these things and not just put a new actor/actress on the show one day. I like her...she seems to have more spunk than the other one though. Maybe Abby...

success2 I like the new Abby. I always find it difficult to adjust to a 'new' actor/actress, but she seems to fit right in and she's so pretty!
