Why does the evangelical church say there are no contradictions in the Bible when they are plainly there for anyone to see?

taurus54 Another question is why does the Old Testament teach that there is no hell, while the New Testament teaches that there is? The idea of "progressive revelation" does not explain the conflicts in the biblical texts.
