It seems to me that Autocad is the most used 3d business softwares but it seems that you have to learn basics of 3d modelling before you touch this software. How long does it takes before you learn how to design house, building...

No . Learning Autocad is very easy. I feel it's most easy software to learn reason being whatver you speak can be type as command like line, circle etc. Most user friendly. My suggestion is first learn 2D Autocad then learning 3D is 1 weeks job if you are able...
